Marcus has strategic oversight of all assets under management by AAGIM, as well as engagement with potential and existing clients. As CEO of all of the AAG entities, he has a core governance and fiduciary role to investors and shareholders.
Marcus has long-term hands-on experience in agriculture dating back to the mid 1980’s. He has worked through several industry cycles and maintains a detailed knowledge of the areas of commodity activity where AAGIM is engaged. He has a track record in starting and growing agribusinesses, buying, transforming to profit and selling quality agricultural assets and building engaged teams of asset and farm Managers. He is committed to sustainable and profitable farming, socially responsible investment and the sound application of ESG at a farm level.
Marcus has a BA in economics and politics from the UNSW, and is a graduate of the Royal Military College, Duntroon. He served for several years in the 3rd Battalion (Para) of the Royal Australian Regiment. He is PS146 qualified, and a long-term member of the Ag Institute Australia (Certified Practicing Agriculturalist – CPAg). He is actively involved in a hands-on role in his sheep farm at Highlands, Victoria.
